Running an EV dealership: what changes in service, parts and support

We have supported several electric two-wheeler and four-wheeler brands and their outlets. The software they need looks familiar, but the details are different.

Fewer oil changes, more diagnostics

EV service is less about consumables and more about batteries, chargers, software updates and diagnostics. Job cards need fields for battery health, charger issues and firmware versions.

Parts with serial numbers

Batteries, motors and controllers are high-value parts that are often tracked by serial number and covered by warranty. Parts software must record which unit went into which vehicle.

Company-owned and dealer-owned outlets

Many EV brands run a mix of company-owned and dealer-owned outlets. Head office needs one view across both, while each outlet keeps control of its own stock and billing.

Support from day one

New brands open outlets quickly. A standard opening checklist, onsite help at launch and a remote helpdesk afterwards keep every new outlet running from the first day.

If you are setting up or scaling an EV dealer network, we can help with the software and the rollout.
