Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing in plain words: what it checks, when to do it, and what you get at the end.

What is VAPT, and does your business application need it?

If your business runs a website, a customer app or an internal system that holds customer data, someone will eventually try to break into it. VAPT is how you find the weak points before they do.

Two parts, one goal

A vulnerability assessment scans your application and servers for known weaknesses. Penetration testing goes further: testers try to actually exploit those weaknesses, the way an attacker would, to show the real risk.

When to do it

Before a new application goes live, after major changes, and at regular intervals for systems that hold payments or personal data. Many enterprise clients also ask their vendors for a recent report.

What you get

A clear report listing each issue, how serious it is and how to fix it, followed by a re-test once the fixes are in.

Security as a routine

At Exillien, security testing is part of how we build and support every system, not a one-time event. If you need an independent check of an existing application, we can help with that too.
